pseudoarthrosis or nonunion, is the absence of bone healing, usually after a fracture (other causes are the complications of surgical procedures) with formation of a false joint between bone fragments. It most frequently affects long bones. The image shows the lack of consolidation of a fracture of the humerus, which occurred several years before an old woman, who was treated with immobilization of the limb with a splint for two weeks. The patient showed abnormal mobility in the middle third of the arm without pain and difficulty performing some movements and activities.
