The December volume of the journal Semergen , published an article on driving seniors, by family doctors in Catalonia, which describes patterns driving in older men and reasons for dropping out of driving. Among the results show a high incidence of chronic disease (with high percentage of sensory deficit) and consumption of drugs in a large number of drivers. Although the main reason to stop driving was a health problem, a few was the doctor who advised him. Quoted also worsened the quality of life among exconductores. According to the authors, this work can inform and sensitize us to address the driving habits among the elderly and make decisions to improve their security.
